| SPEC-OPS II TACTICAL HEADSET... The SPEC-OPS Tactical headset as been widely used by law enforcement and military teams for many years, so we updated the headset with the SOBC II. We have combined state of the art microphone and bone conduction technologies to make an exceptionally progressive tactical headset. While the look and feel are still consistent with the previous model, key components have been updated. An improvement is the integration of Dynamic Audio Resonance System - D.A.R.S components. D.A.R.S. is our proprietary sound reproduction system that provides pristine audio fidelity directly to the Cochlea through the mandible (jaw) bone. Binaural (two) bone conduction transducers provide excellent perception of sound without blocking peripheral hearing or negatively affecting situational awareness. A TCI Tactical Press-To-Talk (PTT) (PTT), advanced electronics for your particular radio model and a TCI Headset Transport Bag are provided with each system. The SPEC-OPS II's robust and low profile design is worn with Bone Conduction Transducers positioned in line and below with the user's temporal area, enabling to be easily worn with helmets, gas masks and balaclavas. Its special frame resists saltwater and chemical corrosion. A state of the art microphone, matched to your radio model, precisely transmits normal voice or whispers in low or high noise environments - even with gas masks. The microphone is mounted in a durable, insulated steel gooseneck for easy adjustment. This is an excellent tactical, bicycle patrol or command post product as well. Due to the nature of this technology, audio can bypass the eardrum to stimulate the auditory nerve. This process can benefit users with certain types of hearing loss and even enable users to perceive received radio messages even when wearing passive hearing protection inserts...
